How Halloween Became Part of My Personality ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ•ธ️

Some people are “summer souls.” Me? I’ve always been a little more… spooky.

Growing up, October was never just another month on the calendar — it was the month. My birthday’s right around Halloween, my dad’s is too, and my mom? She’s been obsessed with horror movies since before I was born. So, naturally, I grew up watching everything from classic slashers to eerie ghost stories way earlier than most kids probably should’ve. ๐Ÿ‘€

Halloween wasn’t just a one-night event for us; it was a whole season. There were late-night movie marathons, costume brainstorms starting weeks in advance, and an unspoken rule that any candy in the house before October 31st was automatically “fair game.”

Somewhere along the way, Halloween stopped being something I celebrated… and became something I embodied. It’s in the little things now — the way my playlists shift to spooky vibes as soon as September hits, the candles I burn, the eerie thrill I get from crisp October nights. I think there’s something magical about leaning into the weird, the creepy, and the nostalgic all at once.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. ๐Ÿ•ฏ️๐Ÿฆ‡

This year, I’m leaning into it even more than usual. Between entering the Face of Halloween Contest (๐Ÿ‘ป wish me luck!) and planning out my perfect October, I’ve been thinking a lot about why I love this season so much. It’s more than just pumpkins and costumes — it’s the feeling of belonging to a community of people who get it. CLICK TO VOTE FOR ME HERE !!

So if you’re like me — the type who gets a little thrill the moment you see the first fake cobwebs in Target — welcome, you’re in good company here. Spooky season isn’t just coming… it’s already here.

What’s one thing that made you fall in love with Halloween? Let me know in the comments — I’d love to hear your stories! ๐ŸŽƒ
